Looking for a short European tour, never ridden in Europe before and looking to test the water, or just fancy a long weekend riding without the big miles then our Ardennes tour is for you. Soak up the atmosphere as you encounter extensive forests, rolling hills and mountain ranges, the Ardennes straddle France, Luxembourg and Belgium. From our base for the three nights, on the border of Belgium and Luxembourg, we will explore the Oesling region of Luxembourg, the town of Bastogne, with its museums and memorials, the Eifel Mountains of Belgium and Germany. Expect superb twisty roads, stunning scenery across open countryside and mountainous wooded areas, historic towns and of course the fabulous Belgian beer.

Day 1: Calais to Ardennes (220 miles)
The first part of our journey is on motorways through Pas-de-Calais region, towards our first coffee stop of the day Cambrai, steeped in history, Cambrai was the Duke of Wellington’s headquarters of the British Army of Occupation, from 1815 to 1818. To the battle of Cambrai where tanks were used for the first time. From here we continue, now of the motorway into the twisty roads of the Ardennes region, following the twists and turns of the Meuse and Semois rivers across the French broader and on to our hotel.
Day 2: Ride out (218 miles)
After breakfast, we will head out into the countryside for a relaxing ride through Luxembourg, before following the border up and into Germany, where we will spend most of the day searching out twisty roads and picturesque towns.
Following Moselle’s twists and turns down to Traben — Trarbach where we’ll stop for lunch and a look around before heading back to the hotel.
Day 3: Ride out (180 miles)
Today it all about the riding, with the smooth twisty road to look forward to. The route will take us up through Belgium and onto the Eifel mountains hugging the border in Germany. These roads have every type of bend, smooth tarmac and very little traffic, a biker paradise. We’ll stop for lunch today at the Biker Ranch, a German biker café in the Eifel Mountains, always busy with bikers and a good place for a photo or two.
After lunch, we’ll carry on through the Eifel Mountain along the German border before crossing into Luxembourg through the Oesling region and on to our hotel.
Day 4: Ardennes to Calais (250 miles)
Well, it’s time to head home. Time to take a last look at Belgium, stopping in the town of Bouillon Home to Bouillon castle, before heading back across the Ardennes tip through the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region and back on the motorway to Calais.
