Join us on this trip around the West of Scotland taking in beautiful scenery and stunning roads, as we follow the west coast up to Loch Lomond before riding the infamous A82 riding through
Glencoe to Fort William and then onto Applecross using the renowned pass of the cattle route.

Day 1: Gretna Green to Newton Stewart (155 miles)
We will meet at the M6 Tebay services (North bound) once we have said our hello’s we will head off to Gretna Green’s famous blacksmiths shop, after this we will ride to the Lockerbie memorial on route to our first castle, Caerlaverock Castle. (Admission price £5.50pp, not inc in tour price) before we head towards the Galloway Hills and the Dundrennan Abbey (where Mary Queen of Scots spent her last night on Scottish soil) from here we head to our first hotel on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park.
Day 2: Newton Stewart to Fort William (195 miles)
Today we leave Galloway behind and head North passing through the Galloway forest park and the Clyde Muirshiel park as we head towards Loch Lomond and Glencoe with a stop at the infamous Green Welly Stop, from here we will take in the breathtaking scenery before reaching our hotel in Fort William, this will be our base for two nights where we have full use of the pool and leisure club.
Day 3: Fort William to Fort William (240 miles)
A big day today so an early start, after breakfast we will ride to the Commando Monument one of the UK best known monuments unveiled in 1952, after a few photos of the monument with the highest mountain in the UK Ben Nevis in the background we will now set off to Eilead Donna Castle for a coffee before we ride the Bealach na Ba or pass of the cattle as it’s better known, this road is on most motorcyclists list of must ride roads, once we get to Applecross we can get a well-deserved hot drink before we set off back to our Hotel but not before visiting one of Scotland’s most visited castles ‘Urquhart Castle’ situated on the edge of Loch Ness (one of the best viewing points to see the Loch Ness monster ”allegedly” )
Day 4: Fort William to Perth (170 miles)
After a hearty breakfast, we load up and continue on our tour heading for the Cairngorms National Park home of the second highest mountain in the UK, Ben Macdui. We will be riding through the small town of Aviemore popular for its skiing and winter sports, from here we will carry on through the national park and head for Perth where we will be spending our final night together.
Day 5: Perth to Scottish border (Carter Bar) (210 miles)
After breakfast, we leave Perth behind as we head for the fourth bridge and skirt around Edinburgh on our way to have a look at Roslyn chapel which was featured in the novel and 2006 film ‘The Da Vinci Code’ from here we head for the Scottish/English border (Carter Bar).
In 1575, Carter Bar was the scene of the Raid of the Redeswire, one of the last large-scale battles between the English and the Scots. After a coffee and a few photos we’ll head off on the last leg of the tour, heading south-west towards Alston and the Hartside Top Café, England’s highest café at 1904 ft. from here we head for the motorway and our end point, M6 Tebay services southbound. This is where we will say our goodbyes and hopefully we have all made some new friends.
